As a full service provider of machined products, at Ohio Metal Products we can produce precision parts from a wide range of materials. Recently one of our clients contracted us to custom-manufacture a quantity of small blocks used for roller adjustment.
The part was formed from nylon flat stock which was saw cut to rough dimensions before moving onto our vertical machining center. All surfaces were milled, two holes were drilled, and a through hole was drilled and tapped. The final product measured 1-1/64” long, 1-1/64” wide, and 33/64” high, with tightest tolerances for this product running at ±.002”. We now manufacture 1500 of these parts per year for delivery to our customer.
